Archives of Ontario genealogical and biographical research files (RG 17-21)

Series consists of files created and accumulated by Archives of Ontario staff pertaining to various Ontario families and individuals for reference use by archivists when responding to genealogical inquiries. Series may contain correspondence between Archives staff and researchers, memoranda, notes, newspaper clippings, brochures, as well as copies of newspaper clippings, press clippings, and transcripts of archival documents. More than 70% of the files were lost before or during the transfer of the series to archival custody.
